Middle of April

Good Morning World!...
Hi.............., Everyone...(This was our Easter ham dinner...It was a quiet holiday for us this year...)

It's me again... I have been busy with projects[this purse I made for Wendy's birthday!) and trying to finish up old ones too...Have been productive this past month..  mostly sewing..

This was a baby blanket I made for a friend that use to work at Raleys...

(It turned out just better than expected!)
The weather has been alittle milder..we did have some snow on the ground a few days ago...but it melted within a few hours--so it wasn't anything to worry about.  :)

Glad that April is here finally and it is warmer and we don't have to have a fire each day... We had something funny happen this week...some black birds with red beaks tried to build a nest in our barbeque and so Mack was constantly running out to the barbeque to check to see if they nested in it again each morning... He was very agravated  about it and I thought it was kinda funny! silly...

the cat got on on it also...

We went on a walk today around greenhorn park ~~two times actually..and got our exercise.  Wasn't sunny very much..but it was ok, and we got to see a few other people with their doggies too.  Molly of course is the cutest one of all...we think so anyways...

A hummer's nest that was on the north side of the lake..
you can barely see it here...that was neato!

Then this afternoon have finished ~~~ completed putting the top together~~of a quickie quilt that I hope will be done shortly for a present.  It actually turned out very nice...and wasn't very hard...just a simple quickie... and looks harder than it was...  Now I have to find some backing for it and get the whole projcct done...It was good to sew for the last week on it and make some actual progress on something... Now have to go get more black material and blue batik that I was gonna use for the "Starlight, Starbright" quilt that I have put on hold...gotta get going on it again...we have a facebook page that all the women that have worked on their quilts have posted their progress and I am almost the last one to finish the quilt... It is a gigantic one but very beautiful when done!

Well...that is about all for my two days off...for now...it is my Sunday night...back to work for the next week Plus a few days then I am off to see my daughter Teresa Jo in Bakersfield, Ca... can't wait to spend some time with her...miss her very much..

Also my son Eric has been working on projects at his home and they are looking great... He is very creative....I had fun last night looking through old family pictures..and found some awesome ones of Eric and TJ and Bonnie Jo... I will post them in the furture...made my evening very fun! nothing was good on TV anyways...
Yesterday I did have a first...I talked to one of my old,. old friends in San Diego...Karen Wynott..on SKype....it was great and we chatted for over a hour and 15 minutes and it was all free..  We plan to keep in touch more that way...was fun! we were able to pick right up and catch up on the last 10 years...we met when I was pregnant with Eric...and he is 31 years old...so that shows you the years that have flown by...wow!
So will get going now... thanks for listening...Love you all...you should all have blogs! haha!

a baby quilt I finished..after 5 years...

Good Morning World!...
I started this quilt for a friend of my daughters in Alaska..and never got it done..and now her daughter is over 4 or 5 now..so I thought this needed to be finsihed and I needed to have a present for a young girl who use to work as bagger at Raleys... she was fun and we always laughed alot...
hope that she enjoys this as much as I enjoyed making it... I should sew more..
I should make more of these as they are quite stunning..

Good Job..Bette Jo...
If anyone who sees this and would like one..put your order in...I will try to make you one...especially if you just had a baby... Like Brittiany!
  Love you all!
Hugs & prayers,
