Good Morning World!...

I had a crazy thing happen this week..it is very very small but big in my eyes.
It all started when I went into work early 3 days ago~~and I first found a note in Deni's handwriting in checkstand # 10 and it was a note to us to look for a small wire notebook with a picture of a puppy on it for a good customer.  I continued my opening duties..organizing & cleaning...and in the next checkstand  I found the little notebook and scotch taped the note to it and put it in the closet that we use to store important things we find til we put them into lost and found.   Then the lady that lost it called and said her husband would be by that day to get it... and I told her that I found it and saved it for her.  When her husband came in a hour or so later  we looked right where I put it and it dissappeared completely..and we couldn't find it anywhere...strange  to have something like that just evaporate completely.  I started thinking that someone was playing a trick on us and felt in my heart it would show up eventually.
well a day or so goes by..and the customer decided to come in and check again for herself...and we searched again and she talked to our manager etc... and I talked to her and as she was leaving... I tapped her on the shoulder and and said (I knew she was a Christian) "lets be praying about this" and she left and went back to work at quick check # 12.
now it gets alittle strange... after I prayed about it...all of a sudden a few minutes later...I got the clear little voice  that told me to "to  go check inside the Capet Rental Book".  so when I got the next opening second ~~I ran to the cupboard and  opened the book and  BINGO...there it was...plain as day!..
Well, I immediately called her and told her that we found it.. This little book had important information in it she needed... and we were both so happy the mystery was solved.
I attribute it to when 2 or more pray for something..God solves the problem ~   I can explain this in no other fashion.  It is exciting to have it actually happen in the course of my daily uneventful life...haha...at Raleys...  So anywho...it was fun to experience a unexpected miracle!
See ya,
BJM
Happy Halloween!

Good Morning World!...
found this on Facebook...love it..not too far away from us here in Siskiyou County!

Just outside Redding, is Potem Falls, a stunning waterfall. It isnarrow at the top and fans out at the bottom as it plunges 69 ft. off a cliff into the Pit River arm of Lake Shasta.A great place.

From Redding, drive east on Hwy #299 for 29.9 miles. Turn left on Fenders Ferry Rd. for 9.1 miles. A 4x4 high-clearance vehicle is necessary for this road, but the last half mile is a bit rough. Look for a large pullout on left side of road (it is now signed). A trail leads down to the waterfall. You can hear the falls from the road.

Always!!!!
I am looking forward to another trip to Potem Falls. Have you been?

Good Morning World!...
Well today was exciting to me 32 years ago...when my baby boy Eric was born...I remember it so very clearly to this day...as so many things were different then.  What an exciting arrival it was...Eric didn't waste any time...and got here in no time flat!  whole labor was only about 4 hours...and the last hour was quick...barely made it to the hospital... Mom drove us...and took her sweet time getting us there.  Sure is funny to think about it now...
He was such a blessing--has always been and  still a much loved person in so many peoples lives~~in our family and friends.  My life is fully blessed because I was lucky enough to have a sweet baby boy!...God truly knows what he is doing.
  More on this later!
Hugs & Prayers,
  BJM
Happy 32nd Birthday Eric--wish I could bake you a cake!

Show up.

Show up.
Every day, or as often as needs to be done.
Figure out the schedule. Perhaps it’s once a week.
It’s not about extremes. It’s not about doing a magnanimous or extraordinary thing on one singular day, or in one moment.
It’s the accumulation of micro-actions.
It’s about consistency.
It’s about showing up, even when things aren’t perfect, even when you’re not sure, even when you’re scared.
Show up.
It’s doing something, even a little bit at a time. Maybe a 10-minute walk during lunch, or a 30-minute light walk, rather than a run. But you’re doing it. You’re doing something, not nothing.
Today.
Show up.

Good Morning World!...
Hi all... the summer has almost ended and my last week of the year off is coming next week.  We aren't going anywhere as we are just tired of going and need to get wood and do things around the house that we never get done.

Most of the smoke has left as of today...it has been awfully bad and makes your eyes water...and feel like you shouldn't be out in it walking...

Labor Day was a good day...we went over to some friends from Raleys that Mack knows and every so often them have a music jam on this holiday.  It was a nice full afternoon...enjoyed it resting and enjoying everyone else playing music... I could have taken my guitar and joined in..but just didn't feel like it.  I enjoyed all the good food...and taking pictures and watching the dog, Pike!  Just a sheep dog and he barked each time we all clapped after each song.

Work has been work...they are starting a new program for a Rewards program to earn points for extra stuff as you shop each quarter.  It is complicated and new...and we have to be prepared to answer all sorts of questions ...if asked.  kinda crazy..but I can see why they are doing it...to builld a business loyalty, and make the connection stronger with everyone.  we will be focusing on this for the next 3 or 4 months til we all get used to it.

This summer I have finished 3 quilts and working on another one.  They are all wedding presents..and so had to have them done.  So glad that I did that and accomplished those personal goals and passions that I do love.  It is hard to carve time for this..but it is maybe just 1 or 2 hours at a time , every few days....that I devoted to putting these projects into reality.  good efforts and I felt very completed with the result.  I must do more of this.

TCF end of the year Candle Lighting is the next big hurdle...planning details for this event takes much devotion and time to make it come together smoothly.  We have to find a new place to have it this year as Gold Street School is now closed.  I am thinking  of asking Jackson Street School this year if we can have it there.

So guess that is about all for now... more later...
Hugs & Prayers,
  BJM
