Good Morning World!...
What a good week last week was...nothing unusual, but steady and pushing ahead with projects, and volunteer projects, and seeing almost everyone I would like to see.  Most importantly was seeing my daughter last Monday morning and having a great day with  her.  Took her to her Dental appt...which got postponed so we made a fun day out of it and went to my favorite quilt store of all!  We had fun..ate breakfast at Papa Ganders and enjoyed looking at all the quilts at Tader Patch.

TJ and I had a fantastic time together...We did get up early to get out there early to Dorris...so rescheduled the appt.. ....so thought we should make a day of it and hit merrill -tader patch--and papa ganders for breakfast as the patch wasn't open yet.  it was early.  We had fun..enjoyed looking at all the fantastic quilts downstairs ......(even in the downstairs bargain basement of Tader Patch)...and TJ was surprised how expensive they were...I told her they are all expensive...that is why we make them and quilt them ourselves ...at least we try.. haha..  She learned alittle more about what I do...and she said she is thankful that I made her the heart quilt with all her friends names on it..along time ago...  I told her I should be able to make a few more for her before I leave this world...and she said MOM...don't talk that way...but I guess I do because I do feel like there isn't enough time to do all the projects I really want to do.

On the way home..on Tulelake road...where the birds, (ducks, swans, eagles, etc...tons of them) are on either side of road..we saw a mountian of onions by the roadside.  Like a huge truck went off the road and dumped them but caught a glance of them as I raced by ~~~~~~~~~~~ and said to TJ...wait a minute...backed up 1/4 mile--no cars or trucks in sight---and grabbed what bags I had in the back seat and told TJ we were gonna get some free onions.  We got 5 big bags of white prefectly good onions...and laughed the whole time we were gathering them..  a few trucks flew by with more onions..honked their horns at us and I laughed and said maybe they were trying to tell us something...and TJ answered --Mom..they are probably honking because they are looking at our BUTTS.. haha... I just have been laughing about that all week...she is so funny and so right at the same time.  it was so crazy ...I was the one that got us into that one.  haha.
Made a big pot of onion soup to take up with me to see Kristen. Hope she likes it too!

So we got home by about 2:00 pm at her house...played with the dogs and then I headed home by 3:30...full long day....I was tired.

ALso this past week...mack bought a new yellow jeep to run back and forth to work in....to save on miles and gas.  He is a happy camper...It is real high up and hard to get in and out of real fast.

Went to the Celebration of life for Christd Starr...she passed away from problems unknown...to any of us...and left her 19 year old daughter.  They were very  close ...and look alot alike.   While we were there ...her whole family was there..from Seattle area... I told  her I was gonna go up Oct 23 , this thursday til monday the 27th...and she might go with me to Olympia...as she has a aunt there.  We will see what she wants to do...I am going regardless  to visit with Kristen, as it is her Birthday this month and would be a fun get away for me. Can't wait.

other than that...I have loads of laundry to do.   I am also into week 4 of doing  Compound weights M W F and walking on the other 2 days.  I feel like my muscles are doing alot better now and haven't really lost any weight..just feel alot better...yeah!

So it is raining out today ...good day to stay insde and get projects done...
thanks for your reading this and hope that you have a fantastic day!

Share your memories...
Since retirement has come into my life I have gotten much more involved with my quilting and using my long arm sewing machine and I found this great idea on a blogg that I read and decided to think about incorporating this into my quilting.  sounds wonderfully easy to use.
Today I have to adjust my bobbin on the machine as it is making terrible noises.. I hope it isn't anything real serious as then I will have to get it serviced...and that could be very expensive.
The quilt I am working on is for Nicole & Ross's Wedding we attended last month and I have it about 2/3 done.  It really is turning out very nice...and as projects go...it morphs into the final picture that stunns me each time I have finished a quilt on the longarm.  Just makes all the difference in the final product.  I am hooked to say the least.

Before I started doing the quilting..on the design wall!

The way it is turning out is pretty...just using alot of thread.

a close up.  I was just going to put a single line through the log cabin design, and then decided it looked much too plain...so put the circles into the squares to make it better...it did make it prettier and much more detailed.  I do like it alot more!  Once you are into the quilting part, you are pretty much dedicated to the orginal design you choose..as it would be impossible to rip out....so it is what it is.

I am getting more experienced as I continue in this craft.  Just gets me into a zone and I do Love it...but usually 2 hours at a stretch is all I can do..

Here is the chocolate cake I made for Eric's B-Day and sent it to him for his 34th B-Day.  It turned out just absolutely delicious and yet only sent him one of the cakes...We kept one for me to eat...gave one to Teresa Jo & Mike, and one to Sharon hohberg for her 71st B-Day on the 22nd.  That is when I made them...and sent Eric's package on Tuesday the 23rd..so he 'd get it in time for his bday.  Sharon said she at the whole thing by herself...loved it... and Teresa Jo and Mike liked it alot...Mike espescially mentioned how much he liked it... and I ate the 3rd one  by all  by myself.  that is hard to resist when it came out perfect.  I used the Friendship Fruit that I have been cooking for a month or two...and was so glad that I did.  Another word for the Friendship Fruit is "Pruno"~~~ what they make in prisons...for that reason...Mack won't touch it...He missed out big time ...it was special!

Found a new app called "Lensicle" and have been using it to make my pictures into pieces of art!  it is so fun to mess with... I could get lost into the whole concept  .Love it...check it out.

Going to this concert on Saturday  evening ..Mack was gonna go..but decided he couldn't go because of Molly and couldn't leave her alone here over 8 hours... I understand but wish he would have found a solution to the problem.  It is what it is..Should be a fantastic preformance.!!

Love this quote..found it on FB this week.. it is so very very true! Sweet it happens in animals also!

My Plants are doing so well this year since I discovered a new way to take care of them...I use 1 gallon of water, 1 TBS Miracle grow,  & 3 TBS of Epson Salts...and stir it and drench the plants almost every time I water them now... makes the petunias go wild and the spider plants get so very very green...I will always use this method of watering plants now...wish I had known it long long ago.  I love my plants.

Here are my nieces twins..with their new Violin and Vieola which they are learning at school.  They are so very proud of their new interest...and I do think they will do well at this age.  My niece decided to do this for them regardless of the expense as it is timing for them to be exposed to these new interests that will affect the rest of their life.  I changed the picture with Lensicle.

We had sad news a few weeks ago that a old employee  from Raleys took her life. I had just seen her 3 weeks before at Walmart..and she seemed fine.  She had a daughter in college...and was going thru a divorce..much harder than I thought she was taking it... She told me she was going to College and doing postitive things... Christy Starr will be very muchly missed in our community.  ::(((

This is Molly the very 1st morning that Mack went to work @ NorCal...He decided working is much better than sitting home worrying about the house selling...and I am enjoying the quiet now..no more violin playing...he is a super busy guy now...Loves his new project being a Human Resource's person.  Great pay and benefits will come with it if they like him.  ::))

This is for my Bonnie Jo...she loved Ying and Yang....My new Age Child... She was such a sweet heart and I miss her....She isn't really gone completely...We just can't see her anymore...  I firmly believe in my heart she is nearby alot....

Found this pool for TJ and Mike at a Garage sale 2 weeks ago...for $30 She was tickled to get it...I paid $5, and TJ paid for the rest... I wanted to do something for her...I can't do alot...but alittle once in a while is it.
These soaker hoses were free...I grabbed them for TJ

This Ivy doggie is in the San Fernando Valley where I use to live...on Havenhurst and Plummer Streets.. I want to see it the next time I am down there...Soooo Coool!
Well guess that is it for this week....
Signing off...
