Cliffs of Moher

Well Hi everyone ....
A few weeks since my last update and lots has happened.  First off Mack had appendicitis March 13 Friday and surgery was early Saturday morning!  It didn't burst but it was close and they kept him in the hospital a day longer to watch his progress.  Sure glad he got thru it safely and he feels so much better energy wise.  Was strange how it happened so quickly!  Thankful he is back to normal now!

Have been working on the blue quilt and got the backing and inside batting this week.  It is gonna be beautiful for Lisa Elie!

Sharon and I are attempting a 90 day fitness challenge!  We are a week into the event and we are going to start running-walking soon!  I have always hated running and this is my idea really so we are gonna attempt this transition!  We might succeed at least we might loose a few pounds !

Saw Teresa Jo yesterday.  It sure was nice to spend time with her...we cleaned cupboards together to help her get her kitchen in order.  She had a huge challenge to get it all done. Glad we were able to have some time to get something done for her...she also cut my hair and it feels so good to not have it so long. She should be a hair stylist she is so good!   Stopped by to see Debbie just before TJ --we had lunch and a quick visit -  she seems to be doing great!  Took her some egg cartons that I snagged for her thru face book free Yreka!    Also just before getting to Debbie's - I helped at church to set up for store night awanna -  took 3 hours and the kids have a lot of goodies to choose from for gifts to purchase with their points etc!

Library Story time this week was all about Ducks!

After the weekend

Sunday, yesterday was the twins 10th birthday.   Kristen didn't get to have them right on their day but will celebrate next Wednesday evening when she has them.

Weekend went so very fast and I never accomplish as much as I would like !! Medford Saturday and errands, running around- Costco was crazy busy--home laundry- and felt a drippy nose cold coming on.  Caught it from little Arianna whom I babysat on Friday.  Not bad just enough to know I got a bug.  Sunday  Church and Sunday school was very good got home and ironed Mack's work clothes .  Talked to TJ --she was painting -- an Mack wasn't feeling very good all day.  He slept in afternoon.   I slept hard last night feel alittle better this am.
This the layout for Lisa Eliie's memory quilt.  Plan to work on it today.
This is TJ and Harley shopping together last Thursday in town.  I met up with them and gave them some cookies I had made earlier in the week.  She looks the happiest I've seem her in so long.

Got to go horse back riding with Wendy and Sarah on Wednesday,,, it's been at least 15 years since I've been on a horse. I rode Joe , Bobs horse... Had such fun.

Mack and Molly napping. Til next time. Hugs bjm

Early March 2015

GOOD EVENING EVERYONE!

Since writing last month I have been very busy with sewing projects, babysitting, volunteering and keeping up with home. Same pattern each week just different episodes.
Like this week at the thrift store we had a incident that was funny afterwards but while it was happening I ate 2 ding dongs that I wasn't suppose to eat.... My friend there was gonna eat the other one and when she asked for it I told her I ate both of them, during the excitement!   Without a thought of anyone else might wanting one... When I get nervous I tend to eat most of the time.    We had a unfriendly lost soul come into the store and demand to use the phone --which we did but he was overstepping the courtesy and was under the influence and was out of place.  We called for backup and all was ok after that...but was still a little nerve racking and uncomfortable.  Just didn't expect that to happen at 10:30 am in the morning!!   We all laughed a lot about it.
Story time at the library has been going well and the same children have been coming back most each week.  Cute story themes make it festive to celebrate the book each week.last week was the Princess theme  --this week is prince theme--  the week before that was birds  -- teddy bears... and on it goes.  Cindy Crechriou helps with the crafts by cutting out shapes on card stock for us to have the children color much more easily.  It sure is nice to have participation and help.  I have gotten my old guitar out of Teresa Jo's closet to play for the kids each week with themed songs for us all to learn. We all really enjoy it!
This is the song we sang this week called---
                                                             "Magic"

Uploaded on Jul 26, 2008
Recorded at closing campfire at Rock Hill Girl Scout Camp. Yes amazingly you can see stuff, it wasn't really dark yet.

Lyrics:

When I was young, I thought the stars were made for wishing on,
And ever hole deep in a tree must hide a leprechaun,
Old houses all had secret rooms if one could find the key,
I do believe in magic, I believe.

Chorus:
Magic is the sun that makes a rainbow out of rain,
And magic keeps the dream alive to try and try again,
Magic is the love that stays when good friends have to leave,
I do believe in magic, I believe.

Growing up the grown ups said, someday I'd wake to find,
That magic's just a childhood dream I'd have to leave behind.
Like clothes that would no longer fit and toys that I'd ignore.
I'd not believe in magic anymore.

Chorus

When I grew up I learned again that much to my surprise,
That magic did not fade away, it took a new disguise,
A child, a friend, a song a smile, the courage to stand tall,
I do believe in magic after all.

Magic is the sun that makes a rainbow out of rain,
And magic keeps the dream alive to try and try again,
Magic is the love that stays when good friends have to leave,
I do believe in magic,
I will always believe in magic,
Love is the greatest magic,
I believe.
